Opening Ritual with Nagasita and Hecate

To open and set the tone for the First Conflux Dark Art's Festival, we have a ritual performance directed by NagaSita of Serpentine with very special musical guest Hecate. A one of a kind spectacle based on the Biblical scriptures of the doom of mankind at end of time. This production was not only custom designed for our dark annual event, but it will also be performed live to its own musical score. With lyrics in the second perspective of Jack Parsons Book of Babalon archetype, accompanied by a whole slew of brilliantly talented ritual performance artists to cast this, their bold masterpiece ~ This is an experience not to be missed!

Hecate - Musician performing with Nagasita

As Head Mistress of Zhark International, she has been responsible for relentlessly fostering and producing the most evil breaks and noise since 1996. Besides being named “most prolific female producer” in hard electronic music, she has broadened her scope of damage to genres including Death and Black Metal in recent years, most namely with her collaboration with Austrian Metal demons - Belphegor. The past year has seen her tour the world with the most sinister and intense performances to date. Orryelle Defenestrate-Bascule

‘Orryelle Defenestrate-Bascule is a performer of ritual theatre and magickal music (violin and voice), drawing upon a rich mythoscape of cross-cultural threads between different ancient traditions, and infusing them with modern technology.
Based in Melbourne Australia where he began the ever-expansive Metamorphic Ritual Theatre Company, he has in recent years performed also in Europe and the UK; while travels to India and Egypt have furthered his spiritual explorations which fuel and inspire his transformative and often ecstatic performances.
At CONFLUX Orryelle will be performing a combination of magickal music and ritual theatre.

Serpentine

Serpentine is Portlands Premiere Theatrical Fire Fusion Bellydance Troupe founded in 2005 by Aradia and Lucretia*Renee. This innovative duet transforms into a triplet in 2008 welcoming NagaSita. Together, they merge their passions of art and dark tribal bellydance in a unique exploration of self expression and goddess devotion. Serpentine explores the ancient art of storytelling through spectacle and ritual; each performance is a living vivid painting. Along with writing unique choreography, each artist creates their own costumes, stage props, and firedancing tools. Using eclectic musical influences and collaborating with various performers and musicians, each set is a tale of its own. The triple goddess awakens in the form of estatic dance, healing and confronting the taboos and limitations of our time and culture. Serpentine honors, borrows, and blends old myths entrancing audiences across the Northwest and beyond. Ignite and share in the unveiling process of reclaiming the dark and spinning back into the light.

Severina

An ancient dance comes alive as Severina slithers across the stage with her sinewy snake-like movements which transport one to another time. With her unique blend of strength and creativity, she weaves an atmosphere of mystery and intrigue. With 12 years of dance experience Severina is an excellent dancer, teacher, and performer who entrances audiences where ever she goes. Having studied cabaret with many teachers including Catharae, Ansuya, Jenaeni, Fahtiem, Aziza, Darshan, and tribal with Paulette Rees-Denis, Severina has created her own unique fusion, melding the best of both worlds into one. She currently dances with Gypsy Caravan under the direction of Paulette Rees-Denis and Dulcinea Myers-Newcomb. All the while continuing to work on her own individual growth and creativity as a solo dancer.

Visual, insightful and shocking, an unprecedented and welcome addition to the Dark Art Scene.

New Perspectives on Sigil Magic

Drawing on personal practice and contemporary thought on sigil magick, Zane Lazos of Azphodel offers thoughts and practical materials on expanding one's repertoire to include recorded sounds, sculpture, and other art forms to feed the magickal consciousness. For those unfamiliar with the idea of sigil magick, a brief overview will be given.

Tribal Gothic Bellydancing

Dark Fusion Bellydance Workshop with Lucretia*Renee –beginners welcomed!

Experience the art of bellydance with Lucretia*Renee of Serpentine as she will teach students basic bellydance drills in addition to her unique darks flourishes. Students will be introduced to hip, shoulder, arm, chest, and torso drills to strengthen both the upper and lower body. These movements will then be layered with turns, steps, and attitude. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a water bottle.
